My Connection to Play

Play represents having fun and learning and teaching all in the same aspect of life. Its a time to play and its a time to be serious.


As a Child I loved to go to the beach...

When I was younger people supported my aspect of play by just interacting with me and my mother would come up with the weirdest games to keep me and my brother entertained. Although we would not know we would be learning while playing and it was all fun. She is a teacher and has been for about 22 years. So she is a very creative person and knows how to have fun and teach and not make it boring. She incorporates play with a lot of things she does.

Today play is very different because a lot of children use technology as a source of play. A lot of them don't like to go outdoors and play just out in nature and explore the outdoors. OUTDOORS is what I would call good old fashion fun. Now PS2,XBOX, and DS are what children call fun now. Whatever happen to parents telling children to go outside and make games up or even play hand games patty cake Mrs. Mary mat, slaps. All those are hand games that I played. Even hop scotch and hula hooping etc.

Relationship Reflection

Relationships are very important to me because with out building a relationship with people then how would you know the amount of respect to give a person. I have a great relationship with God first and foremost, and this is from my religious standpoint. I also have a outstanding relationship with my husband, kids,family, coworkers, and friends. I value these relationships because without them then where would I be as a Christian, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend or even coworker. The better the bond with the people I listed the smoother your life will become as you grow older and I realize that as a grew into the adult I am today. With each person my relationship became different. With my husband my relationship grew into an outstanding bond of communication and trust. With my children my relationship is excellent and I have that relationship of mommy loves me but she means business. With my mom,brother, grandmother, step dad, and other family they know I love them but I know my limit on what to say around them and who to trust. My professional relationship with my coworkers is great because we know how far to take it and what to expect at work and how to communicate on a business level. Also in order to maintain the relationship with each individual I have listed communication is a must and trust is a must and limitations definitely is a must. I feel like my occupation is a partnership because we are all considered on the same level. Some my make more than others, but at the end of the day we still are all human beings and deserve to be treated fairly. Some challenges would be  stumbling blocks as far as with family because you have your days when everything is not all good and that develops a block in your day or week or even year depending on what type of relationship has been developed and where you are trying to go with that relationship. These relationships impact my work or may not impact my work it depends on me as the individual and how far I take the relationship and what I want out of the relationship. I can only make or break myself at the end of the day.
